Funeral services for Erna A. Brosz were held Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Hope Lutheran Church, Delmont, with the Rev. Michael J. Jacobson officiating. 
 
Interment was made in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Delmont, with Goglin-Kelley Funeral Home, Tripp, in charge of arrangements. 
 
Honorary casketbearers were her grandchildren Stanton Brosz, Timothy Brosz, Douglas Brosz, Robert Brosz and Linda Keenan. Casketbearers were her grandson Thomas Thompson, Ervin Bietz, Harold Bietz, Melvin Bietz, Bradley Brosz and Morris Kern. 
 
Erna A. Brosz was born on Friday, Nov. 23, 1906. She was the youngest of 11 children born to Joseph and Dorothea (Baltzer) Bietz on their homestead in Belmont Township, Douglas County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. 
 
She was united in marriage to Milton A. Brosz on September 22, 1929. The couple farmed in the Parkston and Delmont area for 42 years, retiring to Delmont in 1972. She moved to the Tripp Good Samaritan Center in 1996. She was a church organist, church choir director and continued to play the piano while at the Good Samaritan Center. 
She was always active in her church and its women's organizations. 
 
She died on Friday, May 25, at the Tripp Good Samaritan Center at the age of 100 years, six months, and two days. 
 
She is survived by three children, Marvin (Charlene) Brosz, Hendersonville, N.C., Wilmer (Gertrude Ann) Brosz, Northfield, Minn., and Alice Mae (T.C.) Thompson, Panama City, Fla.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, who died in 1989; six brothers, John, Edward, Joseph, Theodore, Emanuel, and William; four sisters, Mary Schuh, Emelia Bietz, Bertha Kern, and Hulda Brosz; and two grandchildren.
