I think my mom's family was from the part of Germany closest to Russia, but I am not sure. I will just pass the info I have on to you, maybe you will know more than I do!! Paula Rose (Schiffer) Childers Her parents: Paul Schiffer born December 29, 1923 in Miles City, Montana and died Oct 5, 2002 in Nebraska City, Nebraska. He was a twin. Gladys Rose Hawley born November 27, 1926 in Miles City, Montana and died May 16, 2010 in Percival, Iowa. Paul's parents: Peter Schiffer born July 5, 1878 in Cologne, Koeln, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany and died March 19, 1956 in Miles City, Montana Louisa Hoffer born September 22, 1882 in Kuschark n Bergdorf, Odessa, Russia and died March 2, 1974 in Forsyth, Montana Peter's parents: John Schiffer--his father is Gerhard Schiffer Elizabeth Mauel That is all the info I have for these guys. I do have more ancestors for Louisa, but they are all in Russia, so I didn't think you would be interested.
