Sally Breiner NORTON --- Sally Nancy Breiner, 79, Norton, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at a Norton hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Norton County, to Leonard Earl and Lolo Romine Holeman and spent her early life southwest of Norton. She attended Aurora and Calvart rural grade schools and graduated from Norton High School. She was a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton, County Treasurers Association, Kansas Livestock Association and served as Norton County treasurer for 19 years before she retired. She married Eugene Brown, of Lenora. He was killed in an accident shortly afterward. She married Victor George Breiner on Sept. 10, 1948, in Norton. They lived southwest of Norton for many years and were life members of the American Angus Association. He died Jan. 6, 1995. Survivors include a son, David Breiner, Alma; three brothers, Leroy Holeman, Hope, Johnny Holeman, Norton, and Alan Holeman, Marysville; and four grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery. Mrs. Breiner will lie in state from 3 to 8:30 p.m. today at Enfield Funeral Home in Norton, where a prayer service and rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Prairie Gem Cemetery Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
