She and her husband Albert moved to Tacoma in 1941. She was a homemaker and a member of Visitation Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Schatz, two brothers, Val and Joe Baespflug, and sister Sally Cassino. Mary is survived by her sons, Robert Schatz (Gayle) and Ronald Schatz (Geri); daughter Karen Hall; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brothers Martin and Frank Baespflug; sisters Lena Schatz, Pauline Hentze, Agnes Woolery, Betty Kader, Dolores Thomas. Family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Franciscan Health Care and their HOSPICE for the kind and gentle manner that their mother's needs were met. Visitation Friday, 12 noon until 5 pm at Piper Morley Mellinger Funeral Home (472-3353). Rosary will be recited prior to Mass.
