  [S927] Obituary. Prominent Wheeling Woman Is Stricken On Sunday - Mrs. Elizabeth Beuter Vogler, widow of the late Joseph A. Vogler, and a life-long resident of Wheeling, died Sunday morning at 5:30 o'clock in the North Wheeling hospital following an illness of complications. Death was unexpected and came as a shock to a wide circle of friends and associates. Born in Wheeling she spent her entire life here and was a life-long member of St. Alphonsus' church. She was affiliated with the Christian Mothers' society and always took an active part in church affairs. She is survived by three sons, William, Lee, and Henry Vogler; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Zipfel and Mrs. Helen Stahl, all of Wheeling; three brothers, Henry J., Richard K. and Joseph Beuter; two sisters, Mrs. Anthony Stender and Mrs. Chester G. Thompson, and 13 grandchildren. Her husband, a former associate with the Joseph A. Vogler, Jr., tinning company in South Wheeling, preceded her in death in January. The body was taken to the Altmeyer and Sons funeral home and was later removed to the late residence at 2136 Chapline street. Services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the home followed by requiem high mass at St. Alphonsus' church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Members of the Christian Mothers' society will meet at the home Tuesday nigh at 8 o'clock to recite the rosary.
