  Robert Scott Strasser Age 55, of Canton, passed away Friday in his residence. He was born in Canton, a son of Virginia Smith Strasser, with whom he resided, and the late Robert Wilson Strasser, and was a life resident of Canton, except for a short time in Orrville. He was a 1972 graduate of Orrville High School. Scott had worked as a drywaller and in construction. He loved putting model cars together when he was younger and loved music, especially Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. He also enjoyed Star Trek and Sci-Fi movies, and going fishing. Scott was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns and loved to watch them. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a former member of Canton American Legion Post #44. Preceded in death by a brother, Michael E. Strasser, and grandparents, Aurelia Smith, Clayton and Emma Smith. He was a beloved son and brother, and besides his mother is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Donald Dine, of North Canton; a brother, Ronnie Strasser, of the home; numerous aunts and uncles, and a favorite niece, Jennifer Scaglion and her husband, Vince. Services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Chaplain Ron Iwanusa of the Canton Christian Home officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
