Edna Mildred Disque
CLAFLIN ? Edna Mildred Disque, 90, Claflin, died Thursday, April 27, 2006.
Miss Disque was born Feb. 24, 1916, in rural Barton County. She was a retired U.S. Postal clerk.
Survivors include six brothers, Charles, Edgar and Walter, all of Claflin, Marlin of Hoisington, Herman of Lyons and Harvey of Salina; two sisters, Mable Flickinger of Hutchinson and Aline Howser of Chandler, Okla.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Holyrood. Burial will be in Claflin Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, Claflin.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Box 146, Hoisington 67544, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and 9:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.

CLAFLIN - Edna Mildred Disque, 90, died April 27, at the Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. She was born Feb. 24 1916, in Rural Barton County, the daughter of Adam A. Disque and Margaret Caroline Radenberg. She was a retired U.S. Postal Clerk and lifetime resident of Claflin.
Disque was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Holyrood, Order of the Eastern Star, Claflin, Barton County Historical Society, State Center Community Club, and Birthday Coffee Club of Claflin.
Survivors include six brothers: Charles, Edgar, and Walter Disque all of Claflin, Marlin Disque of Hoisington, Herman Disque of Lyons, and Harvey Disque of Salina; two sisters Mable Flickinger of Hutchinson, Aline Howser of Chandler, Okla.; 17 nieces; 11 nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: three sisters, Velma and Grace Disque, and Leona Welch; and two brothers Clarence and Martin Disque.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Debra Rains officiating. Burial will follow at the Claflin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
