Obituary of Clarence L. Frank as it appeared in the Times Recorder on Friday. May 2, 1986:
Clarence L. frank, 58, of 1183 Hall Avenue, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 1986, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va, following an apparent heart attack.
A U.S. Navy World War II veteran, he had been employed as a truck driver by Mid-Atlantic Canners Association for the past 10 years and was formerly employed by Friel Coal Company, Core Coal Company and Dick Brader Express Company.
He was born April 4, 1927, in Zanesville, the son of Herman and Olive Stempert Frank.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Hall Frank of the home; five sons, Russell Frank of 1148 Iron St., Jefre Frank of Tampa, Fla., Roger, Todd and Craig Frank, all of the home; seven daughters, Cathy Schoop, Lisa Frank and Le Ann Frank, all of Zanesville, Mrs. Ernest (Sheri) Snider of Texas, Mrs. John (Cindy) Snider of Belpre, Carolinn Frank of Bradenton, Fla. and Lorilayne Frank of the home; three brothers, Harold and Wilfred Frank of Zanesville and Elmer Frank of Pendleton, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. William, (Bonnie) Archer of Archer Lane; and 27 grandchildren.
Two sons, John and Robert Frank and one grandson, Steven Frank preceded him in death.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at DeLong and Baker Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Richard McNeish officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
