Worked in a business office in Wheeling, W.VA., while attending business college there. Later worked for Ohio Foundry in Columbus, Ohio, but supported himself primarily as a magazine salesman. Never married. In 1971 he moved back to McConnelsville, Ohio, and lived the remainder of his life at 253 E. Union St. where he died of cardiac arrhythmia while seated in a chair in his home. Died at age 76.
