His Legacy.... James W. ?Jim? Fogle, age 77, of Caldwell, OH passed away Tuesday (Feb. 12, 2008) at his home. He was born September 1, 1930 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Albert and Amelia Nau Fogle.Jim was a member of the St. Mary?s of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fulda, member of the Caldwell Moose Lodge #221, American Legion Post #418 in Dexter City, OH and VFW Post #4721 in Caldwell. He served and protected his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an Enoch Township Trustee for over 28 years caring for his neighbors. He owned and operated the Fogle?s Inn for over 17 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and farmer.
His Family... Surviving are his wife Hazel Hayes Fogle of the home, whom he married June 25, 1955; Two Daughters Cindy (Jeff) Yunk of Caldwell and Annette (Mark) Allen of Byesville; Three Sons Donald ?Stoggie? (Joyce) Fogle of Caldwell, Dennis ?Whitey? (Debbie) Fogle of Caldwell and Robert ?Rolly? (Angela) Fogle of Cumberland; Twelve Grandchildren William Albert Fogle, Thomas James Fogle, Melissa Miley, Josh Fogle, Tiffany Fogle, Levi (Kelly) Fogle, Laura (Brian) Miller, LeeAnn Hazel Fogle, Lydia Amelia Fogle, Zach Fogle, James Robert Fogle and Rebecca Barnes; Great-Granddaughter Kazia Barnes; Five Sisters Dolores Thill of Canton, OH, Eileen (Joseph) Nauer of Canton, Marie (Paul) Wahl of East Sparta, OH, Thelma (Francis) Zwick of Lewisville, OH and Ruth Ann (Les) Floore of Louisville, KY; Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one Son Gary ?Harold? Fogle.
His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Friday (Feb. 15, 2008) from 2 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724 with a vigil service held at 3:30 pm. A Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the ?St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception Church <http://www.fuldaohio.org/picnic.htm> in Fulda, with Rev. Father Thomas Hamm Officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Fulda, where the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations will conduct military graveside services.
