NORWALK -- Richard L. Sipple, 80, of Norwalk, died Sunday, July 1, 2007, in Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk. He was born March 8, 1927, in Cleveland and moved to the Norwalk area in 1959 from Cleveland. Sipple was a former Norwalk city councilman and member of the Norwalk City Zoning Board. He volunteered at Fisher-Titus Medical Center and the former Norwalk Memorial Hospital; and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Firelands Post 2743, First United Methodist Church and Mount Vernon Lodge 64, all in Norwalk. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He had owned of Sipp's Service Station in Parma and was a former employee of Cleveland Ignition. He enjoyed model trains and was an American Kennel Association dog obedience trainer. Survivors include his daughters Karina L. Sipple of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Susanne S. Reed of Monroeville; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine D. (nee Weidman), in 1993; and his parents, Richard L. and Stella M. (nee Kinelberger) Sipple Sr. Friends may call Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. with a Masonic service at 6:45 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery mausoleum.
