Sylvester G.''Sy'' Estep - Age 87 of Toronto, Ohio - died Tuesday May 1, 2001 at his residence of natural causes. Sy was born January 1, 1914 in St. Joseph Settlement, West Virginia, the son of the late Frank and Christina Singer Estep. Sy is a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church - Toronto, Ohio Sy is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2187 and a member of the Holy Name Society. He is also a member of the Barber Shoppers Chorus S.P.A.E.B.S.Q.S.A., and an organizer and founder of the Dyer Country Club - Toronto, Ohio. He is a charter and life member of Dyer Country Club. Sy retired after 28 years as a manager of the former A & P Tea Company - Toronto, Ohio Sy was preceded in death by his parents - 1 Brother: Lawrence Estep - 2 Sisters: Elizabeth Howell and Bernadette Vermillon. Sy is survived by his wife: Helen Marie Kolodziej Estep of the home whom he married October 1, 1938. 1 Son: Charles Estep and wife Marcella of Pittsfield, Mass. 3 Daughters: Mrs. Fred ( Barbara ) Crawford of Rogers, Ohio Mrs. John ( Janet ) Olesky of Toronto, Ohio Mrs. David ( Mary Ann ) Huff of Toronto 4 Sisters: Mrs. Don ( Peggy ) Gibson of Williamstown, WV. Thursday May 3, 2001 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, followed by Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:30 A.M. with Monsignor Roger J. Foys officiating. There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary Service Wednesday May 2, 2001 at 3:30 P.M. at the funeral home. There will be a Wake Service at 8:30 P.M. Wednesday May 2, 2001 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church.
