Anton (Tony) Steiner, age 86 of Mott, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT, Friday, March 25, at St. Vincents Catholic Church in Mott. Fr. Charles Zins will officiate with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery at Mott. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at St. Vincents Catholic Church in Mott. Tony is survived by his seven children, Jim, Belle Fourche, S.D.; Ray of Belle Fourche, S.D.; David of Mott; Howard of Aurora, Colo.; Mary Heidecker, Belle Fourche, S.D.; Eileen Golian, Columbia, Md.; Gary of Baldwin; 19 grandchildren, 12great grandchildren. Tony is also survived by his three brothers, Lee Steiner, Billings, Mont., Mike Steiner, Helena, Mont., Val Steiner, Bozeman, Mont., four sisters, Martha Karls, Phoenix, Ariz., Agnes Konstadt, Garibaldi, Ore., Tina Rixen, New England, and Adeline Mitchell, Jamestown. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Caroline of 63 years on Sept. 10, 2010, son Doug, five brothers, Leonard, Sam, Robert, Adam and Joseph Steiner; and two sisters, Emma Hirsch and Margaret Dauenhauer. Visitation will Thursday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott and on Friday one hour prior to services at St. Vincents Catholic Church.
