bert E. "Bob" Rink, 85, passes away Monday, January 12, 2009 at his residence in Auburn, IN. He was born in Garret, IN, was a purchasing agent at Dana Corp for over 35 years, retiring in 1982. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1941, was a member of Indiana Village Church of God in Auburn & served as a Sgt. in the U.S. Army during WWII, RR Engineer Army. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Zern of St. Joseph, MI, Thelma (Larry) Huss of Palmetto, FL, Candice (Daniel) Kruse of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Dolores Chorpenning of Albion, IN; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Marion, half-brothers. Earl & Dick Chorpenning & half-sister, Pat Springman. Service 11am Friday at Indian Village Church of God, 602 Erie Pass in Auburn, Rev Raymond Warner officiating, calling 1 hour prior. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn. Memorials to DeKalb Co. Cancer Society or DeKalb Co. Diabetes Association.
