SCHAUB November 8, 1923 ~ October 19, 2011 Josephine D. Schaub passed away peacefully on October 19, 2011 in Ridgefield, Washington surrounded by her family. She was born November 8, 1923, in Ridgefield, Washington. She was a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother. As a skilled homemaker, Jo loved her flowers and always had a beautiful yard and garden in full bloom. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, reading and long visits with friends and neighbors! Family and friends always appreciated her lengthy and informative letters. Jo was a dedicated nursing aide at Vancouver V.A. Hospital for 20 years and her many patients benefited from her cheerful, tender touch and care. We will miss her uniquely funny stories and optimistic views on life. Josephine is survived by her husband, Robert J. Schaub; sons, Robert E. (Gail), Wayne L. (Cecelia); grandchildren, Guy Schaub, Bette Jo Ames, Jennifer Hendrickx, Ron Schaub, Michael Schaub, Brenda Waters, Brian Schaub, Daniel Schaub & Lynn Newton; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the Kaiser Hospice team for their exceptional care and the outstanding staff at the Carolee's Assisted Living facility.
