Paul R. Marshall
MARSHALL, Paul R., 81, of State Route 260, Rinard Mills, Ohio, (Marr Community,) died at 10:53 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2006 in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born near Marr, Ohio on June 23, 1925, the son of the late Winfield and Clara Blanche Blair Marshall.
He was a retired farmer, timber cutter and oil field worker. He was also a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ, near Graysville, Ohio; a charter member of the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department in Marr, Ohio; and a former Bethel Township Trustee in Monroe County, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Janet Ayers, Inez Lindamood and Freda Brett; one brother, Wilmer Marshall; one grandson, Matthew Moore; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Moore.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Bernice Winland Marshall, whom he married on March 31, 1945; one daughter, Melody (Eugene) Moore of Jerusalem, Ohio; four sons, Steve (Melissa) Marshall of Marietta, Ohio, Greg (Catherine) Marshall of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mike (Julie) Marshall of Rinard Mills, Ohio and Kevin (Rhonda) Marshall of Lewisville, Ohio; one sister, Sylvia (Garald) Weckbacher of Rinard Mills, Ohio; one brother, Carrol (Vera) Marshall of Minerva, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Josh (Bethany) Moore, Jamie (Doug) Gehrig, Cara and Christin Marshall, Gabe (Tiffany) Marshall, Abe, Jessica and Ben Marshall, Scott and Casey Marshall; two great-grandchildren, Halle and Gracie Gehrig; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, near Graysville, Ohio.
