WILLIAM A. DICKSON KINGSVILLE -- William A. Dickson, age 82, of Ashtabula, died Monday, January 2, 2006, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, in Kingsville. Born in Barnesville, OH, September 2, 1923, he was the son of William and Alma Dickson. He graduated from Barnesville High School in 1941, and immediately entered the Army, serving in Germany and France during WW II, earning many commendations including the Purple Heart. He was married to Lela Giddings. Mr. Dickson retired from the Illuminating Company in 1988, after 37 years of service. Surviving him are his wife; two sons; a daughter; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mr. Dickson was preceded in death by his parents and one sister in 1985. A private service was held Thursday, January 5, 2006, at St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Phillip Miller officiating. FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS INC., ASHTABULA HOME, 526 W.
