Virginia M. Burkin, 79, of Clyde, died Tuesday, Oct.7, 2008, at her home. She was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Toledo, to Homer and Reva (Eishen) Tusing. On Aug. 19, 1950, she married James E. Burkin, and he died April 2, 1967. Survivors include two children, Jeffry (Laura) Burkin of Fremont and Pamela (Timothy) Havice of Fremont; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Wayne Tusing of Grand Rapids and Gary Tusing of Broadway, Va. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Tusing. Visitation is 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, until the funeral at 3 p.m. at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. Burial is at St. Mary Cemetery, Clyde. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or to Alzheimer Association.
