CALDWELL -- Thomas Schafer, 12, of Caldwell Route 4 died at 7 p.m. Wednesday at his home after a long illness.A son of Ruben and Delores Schell Schafer of Caldwell Route 4, he was born July 3, 1961, in Zanesville. The youngster was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.Survivors include the parents; three sisters, Joann, Kay and Connie, all of the home; the grandparents, Mrs. Clem Schafer of Caldwell Route 4, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Schell of Chandlersville Route 2; and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Mary Schell, formerly of Caldwell. Tow brothers, bob and Ed, are deceased. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home here.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Church with Rev. Fr. Walter Heinz as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
