Obituary from the Zanesville Times Recorder, pg 1, 5 Sep 1952: RITES TODAY FOR JOSEPH SCHAFER CALDWELL, O. - Joseph Edward, one day old son of Reuben and Delores Schell Schafer of Cumberland Route died Thursday morning at 4 o'clock in St. Francis hospital, Cambridge. Last rites will be held this morning at 9:30 o'clock from St. Mary's church in Fulda, with Rt. Rev. Fr. B. J. Mattes officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Survivors in addition to the parents are the grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Schafer of Olive and Mrs. and Mrs. Clyde Schell of Caldwell, Rt. 1.
