  [S927] Obituary. MELLOTT, Richard E., 82, of Martins Ferry, Ohio died Saturday, July 31, 2010 in Forest Hill Retirement Community, St. Clairsville, Ohio. Richard was born July 2, 1928, a son of the late Mont David and Mary Elizabeth Coss Mellott. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a Methodist by Faith. Preceding him in death were a brother, Irvin Mellott; and a sister, Betty Vah. Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Nancy Carter Mellott; his children, Richard R. Mellott of Oregon, Daniel I. Mellott of California, and Cynthia L. Mellott of St. Clairsville, Charles D. (Nicole) Mellott of Cincinnati, Randy E. Georgia Mellott of St. Clairville, and Bonnie S. (William) Duggan of New Jersey; a sister, Helen Hill of Chester, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Amy, Jessica, Kelley, Leslie, Valerie, Melanie, Jennifer L., Monica and Jennifer M.; and 11 great- grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 204 West Main St., St. Clairsville, Friday, August 6, 2010 from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Clairsville Stadium Fund at P.O. Box 202, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
