Pg 2, col. 5. BLATTNER - Died, of diabetes, at the home of her mother, 421 High Avenue West, at 4:05 o'clock P. M., April 11, 1897, Mabel Louise, youngest daughter of Mrs. Louise Blattner, age 12 years and 11 months. Funeral from the residence at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, April 13, and interment in Forest Cemetery. The little girl had been ill about seven weeks and it was thought her trouble had been conquered and the she was convalescing rapidly. She was permitted to go about in the open air and she exposed herself to damp weather for too long a time, contracting a cold that was attended by fatal results. Mabel was a pretty child of lovable disposition and obedient, trusting character, and her death is mourned by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
