Miller Ruth Beryl Schmidt Kile Miller, 93, of Marietta, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 27, 2007) at Selby General Hospital. She was born on July 19, 1914, to Charles and Merle Dixon Schmidt near Lowell, Ohio. She was first married to Robert C. Kile who is deceased, and then married Clarence Miller, who is also now deceased. Ruth graduated from Lowell High School and Cameo Beauty School in Zanesville. She was a licensed hair dresser for over 50 years. She was a member of the Central Christian Church and sang in the choir until later years. She belonged to the O?Neill Senior Singers and was a member and past president of the Marietta Hairdresser?s Association. Ruth established the first support group for Alzheimer families in the area. Ruth?s husband, Clarence, had Alzheimer?s and was cared for at home for six years. Ruth was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend. Those who knew her could not help but love her. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are two daughters, Linda O?Connor (Michael) of Morrisonville, N.Y., and Barbara Dennis (Bruce) of Reno, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Taylor and Charlotte Angeletti and their families of Newark, Ohio; her grandchildren, Dan E. Brown (companion, Tammy Kelly) of Reno, Angela Albanna, David Fitzgerald of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Robert Fitzgerald (Lisa) of Cape Cod, Mass., and Erin Caplinger of Washington, W.Va.; her great-grandchildren, James W. and Nicholas Brown, Cora Kelly-Brown, Danyelle, Kile, Sammy and Graham Fitzgerald, Seth Caplinger, Jennah, Hannah and Noah Sallora, and Sabrine Albanna. She was preceded in death by her brother Frank Schmidt and his wife, Kathleen, of Lowell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Lowell Christian Church with Merle Farnesworth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home.
