Marcella Burkhart
Mrs. Marcella M Burkhart, (nee Archer) 73, of 419 South Main Street, Woodsfield, died Sunday evening, March 11, in Noble County, of an apparent heart attack. She was enroute home after attending a Catholic Women's Club meeting at Byesville.
She was born March 18, 1905, at Lewisville, the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa Raab Archer.
Mrs. Burkhart was a member of St. Sylvester's Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club of that church.
Mrs. Burkhart had one daughter proceding her in death, Mary Ann.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Daniel J. (Sue Clare) O'Regan, of Jersey City, N.J.; Mrs. Charles (Patricia} Rousenberg, of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. John (Regina) Swartout, of Topeka, Kansas; two sons, David L. Burkhart, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Larry Burkhart, of Woodsfield; one brother, Joseph Archer, of Greencastle, Ind., and four sisters, Mrs. Clotilda Wagner and Mrs. Amelia Burkhard, of Zanesville; Miss Madge Archer, of Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Lucy Block, of Lyle, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends were received at the Bauer and Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Wednesday afternoon and evening. Rosary devotions were held on Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held this Thursday morning at ten o?clock at St. Sylvester's Church, with Msgr. Robert A. Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
