  [S927] Obituary. Lodi News-Sentinel December 21, 2002 Lodi, CA Regina K. "Rex" Mettler, 91, of Lodi, died Dec. 19 in a local convalescent hospital. She was born Regina K. Handel on May 30, 1911, in Lodi. She is survived by her son, Burness "Bernie" Mettler of Lodi; sisters, Lenore Mettler and Ida Hentschel both of Lodi, and Vi Casalegno of Soquel; brother, Leon Handel of Lodi; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Mettler in 1994; and brothers, Edwin, Gideon, and Emil Handel. Committal will be in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
