She is survived by her sons, Dennis and Larry; daughters, Marcia Schmierer, Marlys Stafford; 3 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton J. Schmierer. Eleanor was the youngest child of Katherina (Denning) and August M. Bender of Lodi, CA. Eleanor was born February 14, 1924 at Venturia, North Dakota. In 1935 Eleanor moved with her family to Lodi, CA. where she grew up. Eleanor married Milton Julius Schmierer on December 19, 1941. Eleanor and Milton had four children. 1. Dennis Milton Schmierer b. 2-16-1943 2. Larry Dwight Schmierer b. 8-3-1947 3. Marcia Kathleen Schmierer b. 5-5-1952 4. Marlys Lynnett Schmierer b. 12-8-1953 Eleanor worked as a teller and bookkeeper for Bank of America until 1960. In the following years she had several jobs as secretary and bookkeeper.
