[S927] Obituary. OBITUARY: March 03, 2004 Nellie Schaner Nellie Schaner, 89, of Hart, passed away Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, in Grand Haven. Nellie was born March 14, 1914 in Mears to Henry and Anna (Evans) Lambrix. She married Cecil Schaner in Hart, June 29, 1940. He passed away in May 1980. She was employed at the Oceana Medical Care Facility for several years and owned and operated Schaner's Store in Weare for 20 years before closing in 1965. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Altar Society. She is survived by sons, David and Judy Schaner of Grand Haven, Richard Schaner of Arizona, and Gary and Linda Schaner of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Lambrix of Jackson; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and special family "son" Bill Worthy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, one son, Wayne Schaner, and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Anton Tran officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at Tate Funeral Chapel in Hart from 7 to 9 p.m. with scripture service at 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Masses for Church, Arthritis Fund, and American Cancer Society.
