On 17 Sep 1954 she left the United States aboard h SS America and returned to family in Darnstadt bei Ludwigshafen, French Zone (at that time), Germany. She died in Germany some time after that, but I don't know when. I only know from newspaper accounts that she was returning because she was 67 and there was no one in the USA who could care of her as she was getting older. She had been housekeeper to her Uncle, Rev. Fr. Ludwig Mandery, in Ohio, but he died in 1946. Dale Amann
