Norman Paul Silliman Birth: Feb. 10, 1927 Death: Aug. 10, 1988 COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY ? 08/11/1988 A woman has been charged with murder after a man on whom she allegedly threw acid last month died yesterday. Norman P. Silliman, 61, of 5503 Yucca Lane, was burned over a third of his body during a domestic dispute July 27, police said. He died in the burn unit at Humana Hospital-University of Louisville at 9:35 a.m. Deputy County Coroner Sue Wurst said an autopsy indicated that Silliman died of third-degree burns. Wilma M. Bell, 56, address unknown, was charged in Silliman's death at 3 p.m. yesterday. She was to be arraigned this morning in Jefferson District Court. Silliman was a retired bricklayer and a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include four sons, Jerry, Odell, Leslie and Paul Silliman; a daughter, Robin Humphrey; five sisters, Ella M. Wildt, Mary L. Kaelin, Virginia Hurst, Verna King and Juanita Silliman; and five grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1020 E. Burnett Ave., with burial in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation at Russman & Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss Ave., will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today.
