Mary Olive Lenox, 93
WINNEBAGO -- Mary Olive Lenox, 93, of Winnebago died Thursday morning, Sept. 16, 2004, in Maple Crest Care Centre, Belvidere. Born Aug. 27, 1911, in Rochelle, the daughter of Ira and Anna (Thurwanger) Krause. Olive married Donald Lenox on June 18, 1928, in Dixon. Together they farmed for many years and then owned and operated D&J Feeds in Winnebago. Surviving family: children, Carol Norem of Belvidere, Lois Webb of Eagan, Minn., Norma Warkentien of Winnebago, Howard (Patricia) Lenox of Belvidere and Judith Kentner of Macomb; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Getts of Metropolis; and sisters-in-law, Jean Mades of Schaumburg and Ina Krause of Dixon. Predeceased by husband, Donald Lenox Dec. 7, 1968; son, Gordon Lenox July 12, 1991; brothers, Floyd and Lloyd Krause; and sister, Ila Oellig.
Service at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with the Rev. Steve P. Shullanberger, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago, officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park in Rockford. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
