    The following appeared in The Times Signal (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on October 18, 1930: VISITED DAUGHTERS Mrs. Lena Crum, West Fairground street, returned home Tuesday afternoon, after a week's visit with her daughters, Mrs. W. H. Archer and Mrs. Ben Sorg, near Fulda. During her absence she attended confirmation exercises for her three grandchildren. She also motored to Woodsfield, her old home town, and other places of interest.
    The following note appeared in The Zanesville Signal (pg 7) newspaper on 12 Jan 1932: Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sorg and children, Berne, were recent guests at the home of Mrs. Sorg's mother, Mrs. Lena Crum, West Fairground street.
    Lena Riesbeck Crum's obituary appeared in The Zanesville (OH) Signal on Dec 23, 1938: MRS. CRUM DIES Mrs. Lena Reisbeck Crum, 85, widow of Joseph Crum died Thursday at her home on West Fairground street, here. She had been ill for the past five weeks from heart ailment. Although she was a native of Monroe county, she spent most of her life in Noble county. She moved from her country home near Carlisle to Caldwell 18 years ago soon after the death of her husband. She was a member of the St. Philo- mena Catholic church here. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W. H. Archer and Mrs. Ben Sorg, both of Carlisle, and Mrs. M.P. Logan, of Pittsburgh, two stepdaughters, Mrs. William Crock of Lewisville in Stark county, and Mrs. Joseph Taylor, of Braddock, Pa.; four grand- children; two brothers, Charles Reisbeck, of Martins Ferry, and Philip Reisbeck of Leadsville, Pa., a sister, Miss Rosa Reisbeck, of Braddock, Pa. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Philomena Catholic church. Rev. Father Louis B. Preston will be in charge and interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery at Fulda.

    I am interested in finding any descendents of Adam Riesbeck who emigrated to US from Germany in 1830s and settled in PA and then Ohio. First wife was Magdelina Yunkas. Second wife was Maria Mohr. My parents were George and Sylvia Reasbeck. Anyone out there?

    BIOGRAPHY:
    In 1850, 37 year old German-born farmer Adam Reisbeck lived in Centre Twp., Monroe County, Ohio. Living with him was 65 year old Margaret Reisbeck, and children Catherine (14), Barbara (9), Maria (7), Mark (5), and Martin (2). It is theorized that Adam was a widower living with his widowed mother, but this has not been proven. None of the children attended school. Adam's farm was valued at $1000.
    At the time of the 1870 census, 57 year old Bavarian-born farmer Adam Reesaback lived in Center Twp., Monroe Co., Ohio with Mary (45, born in Prussia) and eight children: Magdeline (16), George (15), Mary A. (14), Elizabeth (12), Charles J. (10), Teresa (?) (8), Anne (6), and Philip (4). Mary, Elizabeth, Charles and Teresa attended school. Magdeline and her parents were the only ones in the home who could read. Adam's farm was worth $3000, and his personal possessions were valued at $800.
