WEGMAN, former postoffice employe, took place Saturday from the family home, 1,055 Park Avenue, and at Blessed Sacrament Church. Solemn requiem mass was celebrated by the Rev. Joseph GRADY, with the Rev. Thomas CONNORS deacon and the Rev. William A. AYERS sub-deacon. The music was under the direction of Edward LEINEN. The bearers members of the Knights of St. John, of which Mr. WEGMAN was formerly a captain, were Joseph WEIS, Jacob MALLWOOD, Michael WEISMILLER, Frank J. KOCK, Joseph KESSELRING and George SCHAUDE. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Among those attending the services were representatives of the Postal Clerks' Association, the Holy Name Society of Blessed Sacrament Church and the Knights of St. John. George Wegman died yesterday, aged eighty-three years and five months, at his home, No. 720 North Clinton Street. He came to this city twenty-six years ago and has resided here continuously ever since. He leaves besides his widow, one son Henry F. Wegman, and six daughters, Mrs. Ludwig Walch of Augsburg, Germany, Mrs. Charles Kiefer of Cohocton, NY, Mrs. Joseph Miller, Mrs. Henry Richter, Mrs. Charles Ritter and Miss Catherine Wegman. Two brothers, Balzer Wegman and ex-Police justice John Wegman, also survive him. Notice of the funeral will be found in the proper column.
