  [S927] Obituary. Carmelite Halphen Dauenhauer, age 108, died on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 8:17 AM. Wife of the late Alexander P. Dauenhauer. Mother of the late Shirley D. LaBorde. Mother-in-Law of Jerry LaBorde. Daughter of the late Marie Koontz Halphen and Paul Dusieu Halphen. Grandmother of Donna Marie Cambeilh and Dionne Michelle LaBorde. Great grandmother of Dylan Cambeilh and Taylor Cambeilh. Carmelite had a twin sister, the late Carmen Bourdonnay, and five other sisters and two brothers all whom she outlived. Carmelite was born and raised in New Orleans. She was a loving person and had a kind, generous heart. Carmelite had a strong, unwavering faith in the Lord and always prayed for her family. She also, helped her family in any way that she could. She will be very much missed. Having lived to 108 years old, she lived a very long and fulfilled life and then, went to meet God to spend eternity with Him and her family and friends who are already in Heaven.
