She went to Grandin High School and lived on the family farm until her marriage.On September 14, 1946, in Moorhead, Minnesota, Alice married Alfred Heitzmann. They farmed near Gardner, retiring in 1984. They moved to Fargo in 1988. Alfred passed away in 1997.Alice enjoyed playing cards with friends, dancing, and was devoted to her family and grandchildren.
