    Obits Published March 17, 2006 Francis L. ?Jack? Briscoe Feb. 4, 1912 - March 7, 2006 Francis L. ?Jack? Briscoe, 94, Harrisonville, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Adrian Manor Nursing Home, Adrian. He was born Feb. 4, 1912, in Foster, the son of Robert Ewing Lee and Theresa M. (Lake) Briscoe. Mr. Briscoe moved to Kansas City, where he worked for Johnson?s Nursery, Manor Bakery, The Forum Cafeteria, Luther Shelton?s Machine Shop and General Motors (Leeds), where he retired after 29 years. After retirement from General Motors, Jack worked at Stephenson?s Orchard in Independence. He was a member of UAW Local 93. Oct. 16, 1938, he married Mildred Brilhart of Mapleton, Kan. She died in November 1954, of cancer. July 5, 1958, he married Margaret ?Marge? Ellis and moved to Harrisonville. They were members of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and Lone Tree Senior Citizens. Marge died in July 1992. Preceding him in death were his parents; two loving wives; two brothers, J. B. and Leonard Briscoe; three sisters, Velma Briscoe Fyock, Kathrine Briscoe Connors and Colleen Briscoe Spangler; a stepson, John Ellis; a stepdaughter, Peggy Bennett; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella Bennett. Surviving are a son, Robert Lee Briscoe and his wife, Doris, Harrisonville; a daughter, Theresa M. Anderson and her husband, Michael, Tampa, Fla.; stepson-in-law, Don Bennett, Rural Hall, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Briscoe and his wife, Laurie, Lee?s Summit, Angela M. Heman and her husband, Darrin, Creighton, Michael O. Anderson and his wife, Elena, Fairbanks, Ark., Michelle M. Anderson, Tampa; three stepgrandchildren, Rita Lynn, Winston Salem, N.C., Linda Bennett Murphy and her husband, Brice, Rural Hall, N.C., Brian Bennett and his wife, Ann, Montgomery, Ala. and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeffrey Briscoe, Darrin Heman, Jr. Grosshart, John Harris, Bill Darr and Jerry Humphrey. Services were Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Lon Brown and Pastor John Murry officiating. Music was by Guy Rolls. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, Foster, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
