  [S927] Obituary. Joseph J. Messenic, age 81, of North Canton, died Monday April 3, 2006, after a brief illness. Born August 28, 1924 in Canton, one of four children of the late James and Mary Messinese. Member of St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton and the Disabled American Veterans. Joe served in the Army during World War II until he was injured during the battle on Anzio Beach Italy. He retired from LTV Steel 8th St division. Preceded in death by his first wife, Angeline L. (Prete) Messenic on September 5, 1988. and most recently preceded in death by his second wife, Pauline M. (Biedenbach) Moegling Messenic on March 22, 2006. Survived by one son, Jaime J. Messenic and Tamela T. Adams of North Canton and family. Also survived by Jim and Klara Moegling of Seven Hills, Diane and Dennis Koval of North Canton and Larry and Mary Lou Moegling of Marietta and their families. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at the Welch-Sekeres-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery and friends may call Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
