Tribute: Wanda Irene Ketterling was born in Fredonia, N.D., to Jacob Rath and Justina Weispfenning and attended schools in North Dakota. She attended college in Jamestown and Dickinson, N.D., and Ellensburg, Wash.
On July 3, 1940, she married Pastor Eugene Ketterling in Lodi, Calif. She was an elementary school teacher and also taught music at schools in Bainbridge Island, Wash.; Sandy, Ore.; and Plevna, Mont. As pastor's wife, she was very involved in music in churches in Kulm, N.D.; Paul, Idaho; Plevna; Windsor and Arvada; and San Juan, Texas.
Mrs. Ketterling loved music, piano and organ. She enjoyed needlework, crafts, ceramics gardening and time with family. A member of Airstream Club, she traveled all over the United States, Mexico and Canada for more than 50 years. For the last five years she lived at Covenant Village, Westminster.
Mrs. Ketterling died May 18 in Westminster.
Survivors: Husband, Eugene Ketterling of Westminster; a son, Errol Ketterling of Brighton; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Services: Memorial services, 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Community Bible Church, Arvada.
Inurnment: June 3 in Hebron, N.D.

Wanda Irene Ketterling, 92, of Westminster, Colorado passed away on May 18, 2006 in Westminster. She was born December 12, 1913 in Fredonia, North Dakota to Jacob Rath and Justina Weispfenning. She attended schools in North Dakota. She attended college in Jamestown, ND , Dickinson ND and Ellensburg, WA. She married Pastor Eugene Ketterling on July 3, 1940 in Lodi, California.
She was an elementary school teacher and also taught music at schools in Bainbridge Island, WA, Sandy, OR and Plevna, MT. Being a pastor's wife, she was very involved in church music activities. She was active in churchs located in Kuln, ND, Paul, ID, Plevna, MT, Windsor and Arvada, CO, and San Juan, TX.
Wanda loved music, piano and organ. She enjoyed needlework, crafts, ceramics and gardening. She enjoyed time with her family. She was member of the Airstream Club where she traveled all over the US, Mexico and Canada for over 50 years. For the last five years she lived at Covenant Village, Westminster, Colorado.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Ketterling, of Westminster; son, Errol Ketterling of Brighton; 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Service, Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., Heritage Community Bible Church, 5615 W. 64th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003. Inurnment will be in Hebron, ND on Saturday, June 3, 2006.
