BISMARCK, N.D. - Wade Zent, 31, Bismarck, died on Sunday, May 26, 2002, at Bismarck.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 31, at 11 a.m. (CDT) at Spirit of Life Catholic Church in Mandan. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Bismarck.
Visitation is Thursday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Service, with a vigil service being held at 7 p.m. (CDT)
Wade was born on Dec. 18, 1970, the son of Arnold and Linda (Graham) Zent in Bowman. He grew up and attended the Oakes grade school and graduated from the Bismarck High School. Wade attended two semesters at North Dakota State University in Fargo. He returned to Bismarck, where he worked for Bell Transmission, Inc. Wade then started work for the Burlington Railroad, where he became a welding foreman. Along with working for the railroad, Wade owned and operated Windshield Express. His special friend Tracey Schipman also worked with him. Wade also was the CEO of Access Excavating along with his father, Arnie.
He enjoyed keeping a full agenda and was always on the go. Wade liked to hunt, fish, take care of his dogs and especially liked following the NASCAR circuit, especially following Dale Ehrnhart Sr. and later Kevin Harvick. Wade was a great cook and would treat many to his fish fries and Saturday pancakes. His strengths were his trustworthiness and admirable work ethic to the point of a perfectionist. Wade always had time and showed respect to his elders.
Survivors include his special friend, Tracey Schipman; mother, Linda Zent; father, Arnie (Linda Schneider-Zent), all of Bismarck; grandparents, Ralph and Mina Zent of Dickinson; aunts and uncles are: Swede (Delores) Graham, Marmarth, Preston (Annette) Graham, Vernal, Utah, Ervin (Connie) Graham, Denver, Jayne Frisinger, Woodward, Okla., Evelyn Austin, Baker, Mont., Gail Baum and Julie Graham, Sierra Vista, Ariz., Marvin Zent, Bismarck, Melvin Zent, Dickinson, Jerry (Carol) Zent, Bismarck, Gary (Ray Jean) Zent, Dickinson, Earl (Cheryl) Zent, Eden Prairie, Minn., Paulette (Rod) Wenko, Dickinson, Shirley (Mike) Gerhart, Dickinson, Connie (Dan) Witchey, Dickinson, Darlene and Joey Zent, family home, Dickinson and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Lee; grandparents, A.W. (Babe) (Joy) Graham; uncles, Jimmie and Max Graham, and an aunt Betty Aumiller.
