Vernon N. Weber

HUNTSVILLE, Ohio - Vernon N. Weber, 68, of Huntsville, formerly of Lewisville, Ohio, died at 12:22 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 14, 2003) at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was born June 6, 1935, at Lewisville to Wesley T. and Emma L. Hoff Weber. He retired after 25 years from A&P, where he was a district supervisor for the Columbus Division. He was also a real estate agent and had established energy saving products in Bellefontaine.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Huntsville Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon; Elks Lodge in Russells Point; Mended Hearts at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine; and the Carnials Winnies Club.
He was an avid collector of antique tractors, which he rebuilt and showed, traveling to tractor shows with his wife and their loyal companion, Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Stoneking Weber, whom he married on July 24, 1955; one son, Tracy N. Weber of Bellefontaine; two daughters, Deborah L. Weber of Newark and Mrs. Tom (Melanie R.) Bremer of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Richard (Mary Jo) Weber of Cambridge; and three sisters, Mrs. Norman (Darlene) Mercer of Harrison, Ohio, Ruth Rader of Zanesville and Mrs. Gary (Wanda) Seegraves of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert E. Weber.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield with the Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Friends will be received at the Woodsfield funeral home from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of the services. Burial is in Middle Church Cemetery near Lewisville with full military graveside services to be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Council.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Cancer Society.
