She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland and the St. Ann Society. Surviving, Four daughters, Jan Flynn, Ireland, IN Jody Brecht, Ann Arbor, MI Jill Scherry, Santa Claus, IN Amy Thornton, Ireland, IN Ten grandchildren. Two sisters, Judy Metzger and Macy Metzger both of New Paris, OH Funeral services for Vearlene Gettelfinger will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (November 4, 2011) in St. Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Frenchtown, IN. Bishop Gerald Gettelfinger will officiate. Friends may call one hour before services at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland.
