Hudson, 81, of Clovis will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Texico Cemetery. The Rev. Jesse Shaver will officiate. Military honors will be provided by Cannon air Force Base Honor Guard. Muffley Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Hudson died Saturday, Aug. 15,1998, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. He was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Gail, Texas to Thomas and Monte Taylor Hudson. He was a lifetime area resident. He was a ranch cowboy and of the Baptist faith. He married Ella Bender on Nov. 18, 1982, in Clovis. Survivors include his wife, Ella, of the home; one daughter, Vangie and Vern Bender, Stockton, Calif.; four grandchildren, Debbie and Tom Caldwell of Corbett, Ore., Danny and Debra Ottenbacher of Mt. Hood Village, Ore., and Scott Bender and Jodi Bender, both of Stockton; and two great-grandsons, Brad Caldwell and Lee Caldwell, both of Corbett. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cleo Moore and Delia Cranfill. Pallbearers will be Cannon AFB Honor Guard. Honorary bearers will be all friends. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
