Richard, 78, a native and resident of Houma, died peacefully at 10:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2014. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. She is survived by her children, Dale F. Richard and wife, Dale, of Houma, Jan R. Theriot and husband, Thomas, of Houma, Corey J. Richard and wife, Debra, of Thibodaux, Mala R. Guidry and husband, Gus, of Houma, and Gina R. Merit and husband, Jessie, of Baton Rouge; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larette N. Richard Jr.; parents; daughters, Dina and Jill Richard; and three brothers. Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
