She worked at BF Goodrich and later at Main Paint and Body. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church. Ruth enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and most of all loved her grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; and 8 siblings. She is survived by her sons, Stephen Holmer and Scott (Jennifer) Holmer; daughter, Sylvia (Vince) Vielhaber; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. The family would like to thank the staff of Pleasant Pointe for their great compassionate care given to Ruth. Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM.
