Rosemary Martha "Rosmay" Foertsch Birth: May 6, 1928 Death: Jun. 17, 2012 Rosemary Foertsch, age 84, of Wesley died on Sunday June 17, 2012 at the Algona Good Samaritan Care Center. Visitation will be 4 ? 8 PM Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with a 4:00 PM Rosary and a 7:00 PM Scripture Service. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley, with Father Peter Nguyen officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Wesley. Rosemary "Rosie" Martha Foertsch was born May 6, 1928 in Wesley, Iowa to William and Theresia (Wirth) Foertsch. Rosie attended St. Joseph Parochial School in Wesley. She remained at home and helped to care for her ailing mother until her death in 1974. Rosie moved into Wesley in 1987. She continued to live with her brother's Bill and John and helped with the family farm. Rosie was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved children and helped to care for many of her nieces and nephews. She especially enjoyed her great nephew Adam Foertsch, who lived with them for a few years. Rosemary was a crafter and especially enjoyed quilting and making rugs. She also loved to play cards and bake. Rosemary is survived by her brothers, John Foertsch of Wesley, Ed and Agnes Foertsch of Algona, sister, Irene and Lyle Kuyper of Algona, and brother-in-law Barney Heinen and wife Gladys of Madrid. She was preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters, Angelian Foertsch, Sr. Mary Leon Foertsch, Mandelian Grant, Sr. Mary Dorothea Foertsch, Imelda Heinen, Marie Heinen, and Neomi Heinen; and two brothers, George and William Foertsch.
