Loving father of Bonnie Geise, Wendy Vance, Christy Wirth, Ronald Wirth Jr. and Julie Porche. Father-in-law of Eddie Geise, Karyn Wirth and Jimmy Porche. Brother of Marilyn Rau and the late Claude Wirth, Jr. Son of the late Helen Solbach and Claude Wirth Sr. Devoted grandfather of Kelli and George Geise, Michael LaShute, Jesse Vance, Jordan Wirth, Joshua and Ariel Lefebre. Great-grand-father of Brianna, Savannah and Destiny. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Aged 76 years. A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Wirth was much adored by his dear friends and family, was retired from Mogan-David Wine Co. after 15 years of service and then became owner and operator of World Deli, a parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, a graduate of Warren Easton High School and Tulane University. He was a trumpet player with the 7th Army Band, an avid musician and artist, gourmet cook and enjoyed working in his yard. The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Serenity Hospice for the love and professional care they provided, allowing "Ronnie" to come home. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Thursday morning February 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
