  [S927] Obituary. Rayland P. Bender, 58, Rapid City, S.D., died April 4, 2001, in a Rapid City hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Rooks and Kirk Funeral Home, Rapid City, with the Rev. Jon Mapa officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Memorial Park, Rapid City. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, and will continue for one hour prior to services. He is survived by three sons, Trenton Bender, Minneapolis, Minn., and Dean and Rayland Bender, both of Rapid City; two daughters, Nanette Argon, Fowler, Colo., and Hope Witte, Hot Springs, S.D.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy and Elmer Bender, both of Washburn; and one sister, Carol Adams, Bismarck. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Bender.
