He was born at Graysville, Ohio on October 14, 1936 a son of the late Gorton and Beulah Nieb Williams. He was a retired employee of the Ormet Corp., Hannibal, Ohio; a member of the First Baptist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of the Stafford Lodge #300 F. & A.M., Stafford, Ohio; a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #2247, Woodsfield, Ohio and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Woodsfield, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, horseshoe pitching, horse racing and wood working. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Williams. Surviving are his wife, June Handschumacher Williams whom he married on November 30, 1957; two daughters, Penny J. (Gene) Turner of Hershey, PA, Susan (Dave) Chadwell of San Diego, CA; one son, Rick Williams of Woodsfield, Ohio; one brother, Dale (Pauline) Williams of Graysville, Ohio; two sisters, Carolyn (Don) Handschumacher of New Matamoras, Ohio, Kathryn Mowder of Columbia, Maryland; three granddaughters: Cari Turner, Brittney Williams and Monica Williams; and two great granddaughters. Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 S.R. 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
