Newfield - Paul Charles Newfield Jr., A Retired Food Broker, Died Thursday At Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He Was 77. Mr. Newfield Was Born In New Orleans And Lived In Mandeville For The Past 30 Years. He Founded Newfield Brokerage Co. And Later Merged It With Paul Brierre's Sons Inc. He Retired In 1985. He Was An Army Lieutenant During World War Ii And A Drill Instructor At Camp Joseph T. Robinson In Little Rock, Ark., And Camp Chaffee In Fort Smith, Ark. He Was A Member Of The Disabled American Veterans And Covington Country Club. Survivors Include His Wife, Rita Mire Newfield; Two Sons, Paul C. Newfield Iii Of Metairie And Michael A. Newfield Of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.; Two Daughters, Bonnie Newfield Burke Of River Ridge And Mary Newfield Garland Of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; Two Brothers, Monsignor John Lyle Newfield Of New Orleans And Frank H.
