Matz, 71, of 1011 Orange Road, Ashland, died at her home Aug. 13, 1987. She was born in Pennsboro, WV, on Aug. 14,1915, the daughter of Adolph and Emma Barker Morris. Mrs. Matz lived in Ashland the past 30 years and was a member of the Steele Avenue Church of Christ. She was married Nov. 08, 1933 to Willie T. Matz, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Normalee) Wilson and Mrs. Troy (Bertha) Cranmore, both of Ashland; two sons, Walter of Ashland and Clyde of polk 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Kathryn Piatt and Bertha Longdon , both of Ashland; Edna Huntsman of Toronto; Nettie Brown and Estelle Schaub of Lewisville; and one brother Clarence Morris of Ashland. Services were held Aug. 15 at Steele Avenue Church of Christ with pastor Travis Irwin officiating. Burial in Ashland County Memorial Park. Denbow-Primm funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
