She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Birky on December 20, 1968 whom she married August 10, 1946. The funeral was held July 8, 2006 at Hopedale Mennonite Church, Hopedale, IL with burial in the Mennonite Cemetery, Hopedale, IL. She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.
